Refurbishment and new vertical access through an old farmhouse in a conservation area on the outskirts of Zurich. The project involved new finishes throughout, new stairs, a completely new roof, thermal render externally and a stairs to connect the upper floors that were previously not accessible for everyday use. Two dormers were added into the roof to create 3 extra bedrooms with a play den in the top of the roof pitch. 

The house was not fundamentally changed but the full potential of its volume was utilised to create a 5 bedroom house that with 2  extra rooms that could turn the house into a 7 bedroom house.

This home was created for a family of four who host guest frequently. The client is very happy with their new family home.
