This is a family home we refurbished without significant internal or external changes. It was designed between 1974 and 1976 by local architect Rudlof Olgiati & built into a hillside overlooking the Rhine valley. We merely replaced finishes in a like-for-like manner, the roof had been carefully reconstructed and tripple glazed windows replace the origiinal, single glazed ones.
The house was largely carpeted so this was followed through, creating a warm feel amongst the internal, white-canvas-like walls and absorbing adequatly sound in some of the cavernous spaces that connect the rooms. Part of the house was split off into a small guest flat that is occasionally let but also used privately & remains internally connected.
